How do you know when a guys playing hard to get?

we went out a couple years ago, and i like him again..after we had broken up, he still liked me and wanted to go out with me again, and now that im liking him again, i cant tell if he likes me, we flirt a little, then when i text him or something he gives short answers and doesnt seem interested.. :/How do you know when a guys playing hard to get?

He's probably not interested. Guys generally don't play hard to get unless they have a decent reason to do so. As in, they think they're hot stuff.
