How is a guy supposed to play hard to get when we're supposed to make all the moves?

So I really have no idea how to play hard to get. And it's suggested that things didn't work out with the last girl before I didn't play hard to get. I'm thinking about experimenting a bit with this new girl I asked out. Any help would be great. And is this a effective thing to do with girls (seeing as they have more options than guys)? How is a guy supposed to play hard to get when we're supposed to make all the moves?
Some girls on here it seems aren't too happy with your ';hard to get'; reference. But in a way, that is what often works. It's true. Think about it; even from when we were little kids, we wanted a toy, when we finally got it, we didn't play with it.

The same kind of goes for girl/guy relationships. If you act too needy, the girl doesn't find you attractive because you're always available to her. When you act a more distant and less interested, the girl tries to find out what it is about you that makes you act this way (leading to attraction).

I'm not saying be completely arrogant, but you need to show you have your own life to worry about, and you know that if this relationship doesn't work out, you will be able to move on without a problem. How is a guy supposed to play hard to get when we're supposed to make all the moves?
GUYS DON'T PLAY HARD TO GET.
Playing hard to get is a chick thing. What people mean is that you need to act a bit aloof. Act like you're not always available. And guys don't make ALL the moves...just the first and most important ones. After that, if she doesn't take it from there, then you're probably yapping up the wrong tree.
why would you play hard to get? that doesn't even make any sense. we just have to keep our cool and make all the moves
Like Ann0 said GUYS aren't meant to 'Play hard to get'.....

that's the girls job!!
first off you have to acutally be in a real situtation with a babe , one who that shows she is after you but also after other guys,, then picture yourself like driving a corvette and nice clothes and money and you can walk past her with a grin on your face and know you do not need her at all even if shes cute and has titts and looks interesting,, when she asked to ride on your harley playing hard to get is driving off with out her lol, drives them crazy
Excuse me, but I wasn't aware that it's a role some guy is supposed to be ';playing hard to get'. Did I miss a generation somewhere. Maybe better question I should ask, how old are you Matty? Stick to you second sentence which is closer to being true than the first part of your question. :)
